Mary Beth Cyr is a Lay Missionary of the Gospel of Life, pro-life advocate, wife, and mother of six beautiful children. By the grace of God, since 2007 she has lead twenty-two 40 Days for Life Campaigns in Pensacola, Florida. She has personally witnessed over two hundred lives spared from abortion locally and has assisted over fifty clinic workers in leaving the abortion industry. Through her ministry on the sidewalk in front of the abortion facility, she has assisted with abortion pill reversals in our community and several adoptions as well. She has held many baby showers for mothers who chose life in front of the abortion facility, including one mother of twin baby girls.
Together with her husband Ernie, in 2011 they established the Emerald Coast Coalition for Life in response to a need for a year-round presence in front of the local abortion facilities. In 2015 they established a Sidewalk Advocates for Life outreach in Pensacola, to train and equip compassionate sidewalk counselors to lead abortion-minded families away from the abortion facility and into life-giving resources. In 2016 they founded the Emerald Coast Walk for Life to bring about community awareness of the detrimental impact abortion has on our culture, and educate on the life-saving assistance available during pregnancy and beyond.
Now, twelve years after beginning our pro-life missionary work in Pensacola, Mary Beth praises God as there are currently no operating abortion facilities in Pensacola. Led by the Holy Spirit, it is now time to build a Culture of Life to fill the void that the absence of these abortion clinics has left by establishing Majella House maternity home on the Emerald Coast.
